Focus Media Holding Limited (Focus Media Holding) is a multi-platform digital media company. The Company is engaged in selling out-of home television advertising time slots on its network of flat-panel television advertising displays located in high traffic areas, such as commercial locations and in-store network. It is also engaged in providing advertising services on in-elevator poster frames, mobile handsets, the Internet, on screens in movie theatre, and on traditional outdoor billboards

In March 2007, Focus acquired Allyes Information Technology Company, China’s largest online ad agency.

In December 2008, Focus reached an agreement with SINA Corporation that SINA would acquire most of Focus's digital out-of-home business, but the deal was abandoned in September 2009

On January 2, 2008, Focus Media Holding completed the acquisition of CGEN Digital Media Company, Limited (CGEN). On December 10, 2008, the Company terminated the mobile handset advertising network.
